The Institute for Citizens’ Rights has conducted legal aid to the citizens during the quarantine
regime implemented in the country due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The government announced
its 190 AZN aid package for unemployed and people with low social protection for 2 months
during the quarantine regime. However, the vast majority of the citizens have not been registered
as unemployed. The staff of the ICR has helped nearly 1000 citizens to get registered on the
system till the 27th of April. The government stopped receiving appeals on the 27th of April. The
vast majority of the citizens that we registered could get the aid.
Enlightening materials have been continually prepared and shared on the Benefisiar web portal
and social networks. Legal aid has been conducted to the citizens. More than 100 questions of
citizens regarding law have been answered every day.
