Every year on December 10, the world commemorates the day when the United Nations (UN) General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
73 years have passed since the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, signed on December 10, 1948. This document declares that all people are equal, regardless of race, colour, religion, gender, language, political and other views, national or social origin or other statuses. All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience, and they must act in a spirit of brotherhood to each other.
The Institute for Citizens Rights (ICR) believes that all people are equal and helps protect the rights of citizens. We hope that human rights will be protected in Azerbaijan in the highest way as a universal value as well.
