On April 15th and 16th, lawyers of the Institute for Citizen Rights have conducted legal aid to low-income families, unemployed citizens, people with disabilities, war veterans and veterans in Barda and Mingachevir.

Within two days, 27 people’s appeals (16 women, 11 men) have been considered. Each applicant has been interviewed individually and their current socio-legal problems were studied. Relevant legal advice was provided based on the appeals, and relevant documentation and notes were also made.

Amongst the applicants, the families of martyrs, veterans, war veterans, unemployed citizens, housewives and people with disabilities have been the majority. Citizens’ appeals have mainly been related to the issues such as the refusal to determine the disability, the return of lost pension payments, employment, receiving the degree of disability and the title of a war veteran, the allocation of the targeted state social aid, and increasing the amount of alimony.
