The Institute for Citizen Rights is a non-commercial, impartial NGO that promotes transparency and accountability in the government through increasing the citizen participation, legal state and responsible society establishment and supports the good governance and fair elections.
The ICR operates in the direction of protection and defense of citizens’ rights based on the principles envisaged in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan since its inception. It works for decreasing the social and economic differences and strengthening the opportunities to improve the quality of life by contributing to ensuring social equality in society. It fortifies the opportunities to improve relations between citizens and elective government bodies and the government.
The ICR works with the local partners by increasing critical thinking amongst youth and helping to eliminate intolerance and discrimination, gathers individuals and groups together for idea, knowledge and experience exchange.
