On April 30th, a training on “Evidence in Criminal Proceedings” has been held for young lawyers. The training consisted of both theoretical and practical parts. In the theoretical part of the training, attorney Fariz Namazli introduced the participants to the concept of evidence, testimonies of suspects, accused and victims and witnesses used as evidence in criminal proceedings, expert opinion, and material evidence; as well as informed them about the protocols of investigation and court actions and other documents. And in the practical part, held practical discussions with the participants on various court cases.

And on May 1st, a training on “Azerbaijani legislation on the prevention of domestic violence and the implementation of relevant international standards” was held. Trainer on International Law Emin Abbasov briefed the participants on local and international documents related to domestic violence, various forms of violence against women and the rules for receiving and reviewing complaints under Azerbaijani legislation. And in the practical part of the training, the participants were given tests and other tasks on the widespread myths about violence against women and domestic violence, and extensive discussions were also held regarding practical issues.
