The Institute for Citizen Rights has prepared an interim report on the state of implementation of the obligations undertaken by Azerbaijan.

According to articles 6, 7 and 9 of the UN Covenant on Economic, Cultural and Social Rights, as well as articles 16 and 17 of the same Covenant, the Republic of Azerbaijan has undertaken obligations in order to improve the economic situation, adjust the amount of the minimum wage, unemployment insurance payment and other social payments to the living standards of the population, as well as study the impact of the different retirement age set for men and women on the use of women’s rights, including recommendations on the elimination of the set different retirement age in accordance with the UPR recommendations of the Economic, Cultural and Social Rights Committee for 2013 and 2021.

The organization has prepared a report according to the level of implementation of these obligations. In the report, legal and administrative amendments, improvements, and their level of implementation have been analyzed for the fulfilment of the mentioned obligations after 2013 and 2021, shortcomings in legislation and practice have been touched upon, and concrete recommendations have been given to the state.
